These Wilson Cellular Amplifiers have better receivers than what's in your cell phone. Their advanced electronics are extremely sensitive and able to receive minuet signals which would go undetected by most cellphones. They also have a better, more powerful 3 watt transmitter which is much more powerful than that in your cellphone. Coupled with a Wilson cellular antenna, these amplifiers allow your voice to be heard by distant cell sites, increasing your coverage up to 50 miles or more! Your exact coverage increase will be based on the line of sight environment (antenna height) and the presents of obstruction such as mountains, valleys, or buildings etc. These Amplifiers are designed to amplify the 824-894 MHz. cellular band, used by most all cellular providers to service fringe areas. The 1900 MHz. (pcs) band is not amplified but does pass through the amplifier allowing for the full gain of a outside mounted antenna.
