Not sure if 1900 Mhz. is what you need? Then go to this website www.wirelessadvisor.com and enter your zip code to See If Your Provider Is Using The 1900 Mhz. PCS Band In Your Area. If your provider is listed as using just a 1900 Mhz. (1.9 Ghz.) network for your area then this is the system you want. If however your provider lists both the 1900 Mhz. & the 800 Mhz. bands then it will take a bit more digging to find out which is going to be right. What it means when your provider lists both bands, is that their network has some cells that operate at 800 Mhz. and some that are operating at 1900 Mhz.. Phone, PDA, etc., don't give any indication what frequency they are operating at. However they all have the ability to switch from one band to the next just as seamlessly as they pass your signal off from one cell to the next when your moving. If your provider lists both frequencies then the only way to be sure what frequency the cell that is closest to the location where you want to set the Repeater/Amplifier up at is to contact the provider and ask. By giving your provider the location were you want to install this system they can determine which cell in their network is closest and what frequency it is operating at. If it's 800 Mhz. then you will need to have a 800 Mhz. system. |

* The Wilson Wireless Repeater/Amplifier has the ability to amplify the signal it receives by as much as 60 dB, up to a total output power of 3 watts! It's micro-processor based controls continuously monitor the signal quality turning the power up as needed to maintain a clear static free connection with the cell.. If the full 3 watts is not needed for a crystal clear signal, then the micro-processor throttles back the output power reducing component heating/wear and tear. |
| |
| |
* *The Wilson Cellular Repeater/Amplifier has a better receiver than what's in your cellphone. Its advanced electronics are very sensitive and able to receive minute signals which would go undetected by most cellphones. It also has a better transmitter with several, several times the power output of your cellphone. |

*** A cellphone using our Repeater/Amplifier is safer and will use less battery power because the phone thinks it's much closer to a cell site than it actually is. Phones vary their power output based on their proximity to cell sites. Therefore, your phone transmits less power - resulting in safer use from a lower power level being radiated next to your head and longer battery life. |
